Yao Wang is the Personification of China, or as some say The People's Republic of China. He enjoys cute things and cooking, and is seen with a Wok and Ladle as weapons, although he knows martial arts.
He has dark brown hair tied into a ponytail with brown/amber eyes, he is 169 cm (5' 6.5") tall. China also adds the suffix "-Aru" to the end of almost every sentence.
He is also seen talking to pandas quite often, seeing as how he almost always has one with him. China is also quite gullible, as seen in the Hetalia Fantasia CD.
He is also very artistic, as he is skilled at not only painting beautiful human beings full-scale, but also on something as small as a strand of hair (as seen in a strip in the web-comic); his artistic abilities don't, however, apply across the board, as his anime art is quite poor compared to Japan's and Korea's.
Overall he appears to be a cheerful character, though he can occasionally slip into moments of melancholy when reflecting on how much the world has changed over his long life. He's also been shown to be easily annoyed and prone to snapping, particularly when it comes to Korea.
He hates losing and patronizing, but then again who does?
China is a lover of fine cuisine, he is even a part of the Gourmet Food club with France and Turkey. He is also a very good business man, though he doesn't have any problem with taking advantage of customers such as Prussia when he sold him a panda that he claimed would make him happy as a prank on April Fools.

He is shipped with pretty much anyone and everyone, and that annoys him greatly. China is also very weary of England and Russia, but will mostly keep that to himself unless pestered about it.
